The joy of spring

Post-winter is our actual state of weather in the Northeast, but Spring is officially here, so we can mentally strip off coats and swing to the sun. We could also skip to an exuberant exhibit opening this week. Reframing Haiti, a multi-venue production by Brown University, Rhode Island School of Design, and the Waterloo Center for the Arts, will be open from March 23 until April 2. And for now, this happy girl is on view at the shop.

Birthday doughnut

Spent a few days in New York tromping through fashion/trade shows dithering about what to order for next year. The easier decision was ordering treats at the new Doughnut Plant at the Chelsea Hotel. This luscious item was covered with rose petals. The taste winner was creme brulee. Everything a doughnuholic's dream.
